8. Troubleshooting

Issue 1: TPW Package Not Appearing in CODESYS

  • Cause: The TPW package may not have installed correctly.
  • Solution:
  • Recheck the installation steps to ensure the package was added correctly.
  • Restart CODESYS after installation to refresh the environment.
  • Verify that the package is listed under Tools > Package Manager.

Issue 2: Icons or Faceplates Not Showing

  • Cause: Icons or faceplates may not have been placed correctly, or the package wasn’t fully installed.
  • Solution:
  • Ensure the TPW package is properly installed and enabled.
  • Verify that you are accessing the Visualization Toolbox correctly.
  • Restart CODESYS if the elements are still not showing.

If issues persist, you may need to reinstall the TPW package or check your CODESYS installation.

9. Test & Deploy

  1. Connect to your target device (e.g., CODESYS SoftPLC or actual PLC)
  2. Click Login
  3. Press Download to deploy the project
  4. Run the project to see logic and visualization in action
